Stomp (Expired)

Image Gallery

Cans, buckets, barrels, matchboxes, broomsticks, scrap metal, empty beer cans, newspapers, sinks, old cars parts, and all sorts of “useless” things are transformed into improvised musical instruments in the hands of the Stomp. This super production runs from Tuesday, September 24 to Sunday, September 29, at the Badminton Theatre.

Stomp was created in Brighton in 1991 by British musicians Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas. They managed in a very short time to gain an international reputation. They emit a nonstop magical rhythm, reminding us that everything can become music, but also that everything in the universe has its own music.

Stomp puts on a show reminiscent of silent comedy films; they may recall Fred Astaire’s tap dancing; but it’s so much more. It is an audiovisual spectacular… woven out of thin air!
