Vincent Van Gogh(Expired)

Image Gallery

The third cycle of art lessons for children aged 8-15, taught by Pascaline Bossu, is starting at the Herakleidon Museum and is dedicated to the great Dutch painter whose works have influenced many of the 20th century’s art movements.

Children will begin experimenting with drawing using pencils, reed pens and ink, as Van Gogh did. They will also use the charcoal technique and discover the artistry involved in the Japanese prints that served as his inspiration.

They will also paint with a Chinese calligraphy brush and India ink, creating their own masterpieces inspired by the painter’s famous Blossoming Almond Branch, which he painted to celebrate the birth of his nephew. The children will also draw olive groves with crayons, paint with acrylics, and experiment with varied brushstrokes.
