A Streetcar Named Desire Embarks on a New Journey

A radical, wild and heartrending version of Tennessee Williams’ timeless masterpiece, directed by the subversive Benedict Andrews (who recently gave us a brilliant presentation of Anton Chekhov’s Three Sisters), will be broadcast live from London’s Young Vic to the Athens Concert Hall.

The play is set in a modern-day New Orleans apartment. This presentation features a unique set that rotates throughout the show, giving the audience a changing view as the story progresses.

In A Streetcar Named Desire, the beauty and the ‘beast’ fight with each other, while at the same time facing their own personal daemons.

Gillian Anderson acts as Blanche Dubois, alongside Ben Foster as Stanley Kowalski and Vanessa Kirby as Stella Kowalski.
With Greek subtitles.
