Cyrano de Bergerac: The Invincible Beauty of the SoulCyrano de Bergerac: The Invincible Beauty of the Soul

This is a story about contrast – ugliness and beauty, kindness and cruelty, self-sacrifice and true love.

Written by Edmond Rostand in 1897, it is the story of the true hero and poet, Cyrano de Bergerac, inspired by the famous real-life playwright and poet.

It centres on Cyrano and his panache as he uses his wit, intellect, and imagination to woo the beautiful Roxane.

This remarkable heroic comedy was greatly applauded at the Pantheon and will once again be staged here for only a few performances.

Cyrano, Roxane, Christian and other characters come to life on stage, and even though they discuss conditions of war, they manage to spread feelings of joy and optimism.
