Go Down, Moses by Romeo Castellucci (Expired)

Go Down Mosses από τον Romeo Castelluci

After his Trilogy, Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso, and his play titled On the Concept of the Face, Regarding the Son of God, one of the greatest creators in the history of theatre, Romeo Castellucci, will be appearing at the Athens Concert Hall as a guest of the Athens Festival for three breathtaking performances with the Raffaello Sanzio theatre company.

In Go Down, Moses, which appears very much like the continuation of Tragedia Endogonidia (Endogonidic Tragedy), God entrusted his chosen one with blank tablets, upon which the commandments of the men of power were inscribed. Here, biblical events are presented as taking place in the present time.

This gives the director the opportunity to juxtapose the different times in history, thus revealing patterns that have been perpetuated through the ages, while the images and scenery alternating unexpectedly on the stage offer the audience a spine-tingling drama that stimulates the spirit.
