Λεόντιος και Λένα

Thirty-four-year-old Kornilios Selamsis, who is known for his theatrical and operatic works, will be staging a complete opera at the National Theatre.

Leonce and Lena is based on the theatrical text written by the romantic German writer, Georg Büchner.

In this version of the play, the original plot remains the same, but the 1836 libretto has been modified and condensed. As for the characters, the cast has been limited to only those who are essential to the dramatisation and development of the story.

The four vocalists on stage alternate roles and are accompanied by the ARTéfacts ensemble.
