Γκιλγκαμές: Η μυθολογία των λαών

Mankind’s most ancient epic on the king of Uruk in Mesopotamia is currently being directed by Maria Peretzi for the Roda Theatre Company.

The narrative interweaves dozens of themes taken from the mythologies of different peoples, including the stories of Greeks and Jews, which have been passed on from mouth to mouth.

The life of the king and his great grandson, Noah, will be presented at Rematia Theatre. Do not miss this spectacular production that promises glamour, allure, beauty and sensuality, all combined with dancing and live music.

In the late 19th century, archaeologists discovered the first cuneiform clay tablets with the Epic’s original text, which was later confirmed to be authentic.

It is truly a wonder to see how little the oral tradition has distorted the story through the ages.
