Aesop’s Fables (Expired)

Image Gallery

Until today, Aesop’s fables were nothing more than a book for children. This March they become a modern musical fairytale at the Onassis Cultural Centre.

The composer Dimitris Papadimitriou created a musical performance in which animals live, speak and act like men. Aesop created each fable trying to present an allegory which conveyed some moral principle. Currently, each fable has been converted to an inspired song. Narrators, soloists/actors and the Camerata cooperate in an effort to recite the fables to the public… with music.
