Meeting the “Ergon Ensemble” (Expired)

Megaron Mousikis will be hosting 6 unique presentations of contemporary music from the “Ergon Ensemble” repertoire.  The presentations will take place at the “Lilian Voudouri” Lecture Hall of the Great Music Library of Greece under the direction of Alendros Mouzas.  Admission is free. Through these unique presentations, the audience will have the opportunity to experience the tone colours, the performance techniques and the notation of contemporary music through the rich repertoire of the 20th and 21st centuries.  Through the use of speech and sound, each musician will introduce the interested visitor-student to the unique features of his instrument.  This interactive approach will be of particular interest to composers, stage managers and music students, as well as music lovers.  During the first series of presentations taking place on February 11th,   Antonis Pratsinakis will present modern techniques for violoncello and string instruments. On the following day, Andreas Rolandos Theodorou will present the trombone and various brass instruments.  Time: 14.00-15.30

April 1st: Kostas Tzekos, clarinet and bass clarinet
April 2nd: Ai Motohashi, piano
April 10th: Yiorgos Panagiotidis, violin
April 13th: Nikos Tsoukalas, bull fiddle
