Come to the Kendro Elenhou Tileoraseon, in the heart of bohemian Kipseli and enjoy Mediterranean sounds. Why Mediterranean? Well, the word says it all: Mare-medi-terra, which means “sea in the middle of the earth”. It’s the part of the world where Europe, Asia and Africa meet.  And what is music if not an exchange of views, a dialogue between different people?

February 26th

"Zygia"
Nikos Katritzidakis & Vagelis Tsagarakis 

A tribute to Cretan tradition and the Cretan folk music  composers of the 20th century, with Nikos Katritzidakis & Vagelis Tsagarakis playing traditional instruments.
Music from the Eastern Mediterraneann (22:00) with Martha Mavroidi and her group taking us on a musical voyage to Smyrni. Martha Mavroidi, vocals/ Giorgos Ventoureis, bull fiddle/ Stratis Psaradelis, politiki lyre.

February 27th

"Take a trip to the heart of the Mediterranean"
with Anna Laki and friends.

It’s a 27-song musical tour of the Med.  Anna Laki, accordion /Christos Konstandopoulos and Geogia Daskalaki, vocals/Sofia Kakoulidou, percussion instruments.

February 28th

"Paraloges"
Giorgos Tzortzis

The famous singer performs narrative songs of Greece.

March 1st
"Amygdalaki tsakisa"
Katerina Papadopoulou performs songs from Asia Minor, Pontus, Cappadokia and Turkey.   

Pericles Papapetropoulos plays the sazi and Stratis Psaradelis plays the politiki lyre.

March 2nd
"Fin’ Amor"
Lamia Bendoui sings and improvises.

Listen to songs from Algeria, Yemen, Palestine, and medieval France, ranging from the 13th to the 20th century.
Andama. Irene Derebei and Karolos Kouklakis embark on a musical trip through Cretan traditions, with songs from the early 1900s till today.

Flamarabenco with traditional instruments

Giannis Panayiotopoulos, Andreas Kikinas and Giannis Tentouras discover the Arabian roots of the multi-cultural flamenco.  
Lyra, Sazi, Tobak. L.S.T τρίο. Unique compositions on the footsteps of Ross Daly, brought to you by Cleopatra Vayia, Mironas Grevetzaki and Panagiotis Mavris.

"Espiritu Flamenco"

Christos Tzifakis & flamenco jazz trio. (20:00) The guitar virtuoso joins Nikos Kapilidis on drums Καπηλίδη and Panagiotis Bourazanis on bass.

Folk and rebetica songs from Istanbul and Smyrni with Fotis Kotsifas on guitar and vocals, and Fotis Kolias on bouzouki.
