Temporarily located in the National Conservatory near Rigillis Square, the National Museum of Contemporary Art will soon return to Sygrou Avenue, on the site of a converted brewery.

The museum, which opened in 2000, contains works from around the world, and includes paintings, drawings, sculptures, video, audio and online artwork.

Visitors can encounter the work of major Greek artists including Nikos Kessanlis, Vlassis Kaniaris, Kostas Tsoklis, Kostas Varotsos and Giannis Psychopedis, as well as prominent international modernists.
