Kerameikos Metro Station

Just west of the Technopolis complex is Kerameikos Metro Station, which revealed the most important burial ground in the ancient city during its construction.

Excavations here uncovered group burials from the time of the Peloponnesian War, a pottery workshop and the banks of Heridanus River. Today, the Metro station displays many of the finds, along with a good deal of modern sculpture.
